Haejung Lee,
이해정

As an individual who focuses on the work of design and loves to communicate with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds, Haejung Lee is an Illustrator who came from Seoul, South Korea to Columbus, Ohio with her passion for visual narrative. She enjoys exploring graphic illustrations that she hopes have an impact on the viewer. She intricately blends traditional heritage with modern influences. She strives to bridge the gap between the fantasy and modern world, inviting viewers to explore their imagination.

As a Korean artist, she seeks to deeply explore her identity through her artwork. In the context of a new environment in the U.S., she blends Eastern and Korean sensibilities, weaving narratives around themes of shamanism, mythology, with the boundaries of life and death. These themes extend beyond personal experiences to address the complexities of universal human existence.

Haejung Lee's work creates new perspectives and raising profound questions about chance and destiny. Her style transcends the boundaries of tradition and modernity, East and West, utilizing various materials and techniques. She aim to demonstrate that art can be more than mere visual expression; it can serve as a platform for philosophical contemplation.
